Drunken Sailor (Intro)
01:07
|
|||
What do ya do with a drunken sailor?
What do ya do with a drunken sailor?
What do ya do with a drunken sailor early in the morning?
Hey! Ho! and up she rises!
Hey! Ho! and up she rises!
Hey! Ho! and up she rises early in the morning.

All My Plants
01:19
|
|||
All my plants are dying, but they ain’t dead yet.
Now I gotta' travel to a forest land.
Live among the trees and learn the way they speak.
Ask 'em how to keep alive when your roots aren’t deep..
and the wind is cold.
All your leaves have fallen
and you can’t keep hold
of the space you’re in
or the ground you’ve known.
All my plants are dying, but they ain’t dead yet.
Now I gotta' travel to an ocean land.
Live among the coral and the green seaweed.
Ask 'em how to keep alive when your roots aren’t deep..
and the water’s cold.
All the waves are pounding
and you can’t keep hold
of the space you’re in
or the ground you’ve known.

Guns
03:00
|
|||
Alone in the backyard, alone in the front.
Running down pavement, shooting our guns.
Forefinger to forehead, you blow out my guts.
I fall to the ground, and stick out my tongue.
You got me, you got me, you got me, oh my!
Watch as I shiver, pretending to die.
Cowboys and outlaws,
robbers and cops,
you got me, you caught me, you got me, uh huh.
What will you do sir, oh now that you’ve won?
Roll in the green grass or lay in the sun?
Go lightly, go heavy, wherever you may,
'cuz now I’m a zombie who dug through my grave.
I’ll eat you, I’ll eat you, I’ll chase you back down.
Barefoot and dirty,
all over this town.
Cowboys and outlaws,
robbers and cops,
I’ll get you, I’ll catch you, I’ll eat you, uh huh.
Wide eyed and winded, you raise up your hand.
Teeth grinding sides as you growl for my end.
Shook-up and twisted, the trigger won’t move,
'cuz I bit off your finger before you could shoot.
I got you, I got you, I got you, oh my!
Now I’ll watch as you shiver, pretending to die.
Cowboys and outlaws,
robbers and cops,
brothers and zombies,
sisters and guns.

Figs
01:58
|
|||
Figs are falling down outside my window overnight
and I get frightened,
I don’t know if I believe they’re all alone out there
the way I am alone inside of here.
They’re sticky and inviting.
Colonizing ants are everywhere!
My feet are never clean each time I venture through their spread remains..
are spattered everywhere.
Their remains are spattered everywhere.
Their remains are spattered everywhere.
Their remains are spattered everywhere!
All sticky and inviting
in the night outside my window
where they fall and I am frozen in my skin.
Suddenly, I wonder, what’s that rustling?
Raccoons out there assembling,
opossums filling up their GIANT mouths
and crunching down.
Oh it’s so loud,
and I can’t sleep.
Oh it’s so loud,
and I can’t sleep.
Oh it’s so loud.
While the noises pick their teeth,
keeping count of all the seeds,
spinning round and spitting out the rotten ones..
are spattered everywhere
Their remains are spattered everywhere.
Their remains are spattered everywhere.
Their remains are spattered everywhere!
All rotten and inviting
in the night outside my window
where they fall and I am scared to look away.

Oatmeal and Death
02:32
|
|||
The more oatmeal I eat,
the grittier I get.
The hair upon my chest furrows down into a nest
where the crows keep their babies
and sit on their heads,
loving them lively
as soon as they are dead.
The more oatmeal I eat,
the skinnier I get.
The flesh upon my chest furrows down into a nest
where the crows keep their pebbles,
stone after stone,
tossing and grinding,
digesting the bone.
Churning and fixing with
hair from my head.
Powdered and sticky like
oatmeal and death.
Build a wall.
Build a wall.
Build a wall, honey.
Build a wall.
Build a wall.
Build a wall around my body.

Overbite
02:46
|
|||
Overbite anyway,
see through teeth,
one shoulder closer to earthworms and tree roots.
Family branch,
woven in weeds,
trellis or spade cut to re-route or uproot.
Sun rises east,
rainfall decay,
moss growing up and over the shoulder the neck and the brain.
Around again spring time,
around again spring.
Garden upheaval,
the evil has spread/stayed.
Garden upheaval,
the evil has spread/stayed.
From the pores your head to the metal in my mouth
to the fur on our toes where the iron seeps out.
Deficient, efficient, with polka dot marks,
encasing a a casing of necessary parts.
(Build a wall, build a wall, build a wall, honey. Build a wall, build a wall, build a wall around my body.)
Overbite anyway,
see through teeth,
one shoulder closer to earthworms and tree roots.
Family branch,
woven in weeds,
trellis or spade cut to re-route or uproot.
Sun rises east,
rainfall decay,
moss growing up and over the shoulder the neck and the brain.
Around again spring time,
around again spring.
Garden upheaval,
the evil has spread/stayed.
Garden upheaval,
the evil has spread/stayed.
Garden upheaval,
the evil...

Shark Bite
01:59
|
|||
Shark bite,
at night,
in the water out of sight.
Nobody can hear ya scream.
What ya gonna do to keep from drowning?
Sink or survive.
Swim or be taken out alive.
Scrounge for a weapon and fight back bravely.
Look for a sign or a damn search party.
Crawl on a rock. Bleed in the sunshine.
Float on a log and go down lightly.
Thinking about it honestly,
alone in the ocean’s not a bad way to go.
Swallowed hole, way to go.
Swallowed hole, way to go.
Shark bite,
at night,
in the water out of sight.
Nobody can hear ya scream.
What ya gonna do to keep from drowning?
Sink or survive.
Swim or be taken out alive.

Quiet Out Loud
02:33
|
|||
You get to that point when there's no turning back
'cuz everybody you know is/has already found out,
and there's nowhere to hide once you've laid it all out.
No, there's nowhere to hide once you've said all the quiet out loud.
(And) Maybe they still stick around.
Single replies every once in awhile
just to make sure you don't throw a fit,
or if you do at least they can say
they weren't the root cause of it.
(And) there's nowhere to hide once you've laid it all out.
No, there's nowhere to hide once you've said all the quiet out loud.
My secrets are not safe with me,
in this cave where the wind is always whispering.
Nothing good ever stays underground.
It doesn't take oil men to drag up what's left in this well.
Oh, I do it all myself.
You get to that point when there's no turning back
'cuz everybody you know is/has already found out,
and there's nowhere to hide once you've laid it all out.
No, there's nowhere to hide once you've said all the quiet out loud.
(And) there's nowhere to hide once you've laid it all out.
No, you don't have to hide once you've said all the quiet out loud.
